Scratch and Peck Feeds® Organic Grower Mash Feed

Scratch and Peck Feeds® Organic Grower Mash Feed is a Non-GMO Project Verified and Certified Organic product.  A blend of organic regional grains grown by family farms.

Scratch and Peck Feeds® Grower Feeds are designed to be the healthiest and most natural product available for your growing pullets. While all of their products are soy free, the Naturally Free poultry feed line is both soy free and corn free.

Scratch and Peck Feeds® are a special blend of cracked organic grains, organic flax meal, and select vitamins and minerals sourced from North American farms. Similar to Naturally Free Organic Starter, the Organic Grower Mash Feed for Chickens and Ducks contains an optimum level of protein for Stage Two feeding. Premium whole grains are a better feed choice over cracked grains which are affected by oxidation. Oxidation slowly diminishes nutritional value as the oil in the grains eventually turns rancid affecting both the palatability of the grain and optimum shelf life.

This Stage Two feed provides pullets and cockerels (female and male teenage chickens) and ducklings ages 9 to 20 weeks with enough nutrient-rich formulation to continue their journey toward becoming layers or meat birds.  Duckings transition to Organic Grower Mash Feed at four weeks of age.

A nutritionally complete premium diet combined with fresh water, a clean coop and nesting environment, and plenty of fresh air, sunshine, and room to roam is among the most important considerations for your flock’s long term well-being.

This feed is also suitable for ducks, geese and all waterfowl.

FEEDING INSTRUCTIONS

At 8 weeks you can begin to transition your growing birds to Organic Grower Mash from their starter ration as they have developed to a point where they can handle the larger whole grains. Refill feeders only after all feed has been consumed (til they “clean up their plates”). Trough feeders provide the best access to our whole grain feeds.
